- Produce a two-page sports section for 1,500-circulation weekly paper.
- Manage a staff of one sports reporter.
- Run Sports section of faribault.com including shooting and posting video, polls and maintaining a blog, as well as contributing content to the Faribault Sports Network. Created sports department's Facebook page and built @faribaultsports Twitter account from 150 followers to more than 1,000 in 2.5 years.
- Also tasked with editing local content in news section each night and working with News Editor on design and headline writing.

- Responsible for editorial content of two weekly newspapers with combined circulation of 5,600.
- Managed and directed staff of three to five reporters, including hiring and training.

- Implemented changes to website and addition of new media (Facebook, Twitter) that doubled page views within two years.
- Introduced new ad revenue ideas, such as sponsored banners for championship games.
